Day Seven

We woke up this morning to two big surprises.  One we had slept 12 1/2 hours, realizing that we must have been more tired than we had thought!  Two, it was a beautiful sunny autumn day.  Not your usual Scotland November morn.
We started the morning off on a tour of the coastal route of Fife.  Most of the scenery was of the flat land going down to the ocean.

There are as you might expect there are many different ruins around the area.  One golf course was build around an old castle ruins and you play between the stones left standing.
This was a typical rocky site that went down to the water.  Looks somewhat like Newport doesn't it?

We had lunch in this little village.

Beautiful isn't it?

As you would expect, the old course in St. Andrews is the most famous, but you would not believe all the different golf courses we saw as we drove around.  I don't think winter is the best time to take up the sport though it might be cheaper to play!
Tomorrow we are back to work.  We have to find a table/desk to set up a temporary office for Robb.  We bought a printer, phone, monitor/TV and all the cables but have no where to set it up.  Just as a funny aside, the washer/dry I thought the house had is only a washer.  I have clothes on racks all over the kitchen in hopes that the Aga will do the rest of the laundry for me while we sleep.

The new words we've learned are "alight" which means to step off of (as in as you alight from the train), and "mind the gap" which means watch the hole between the train and the platform.  Alli and  Micah might remember that.

In usual Scottish fashion, a storm has blown in and the winds are blowing outside.  With three foot walls we can't feel a thing.
Love to all,
Dawn
